Steve Gonsalves is a native of New Bedford, Massachusetts, and started investigating the paranormal when he was only 16. Gonsalves occasionally gives lectures on the paranormal, such as one called "Ghostbusters! The Science Behind Paranormal Investigations".
Steve is the technical manager of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), based in Warwick, Rhode Island. He is also apart of the SciFi Channel's original series, "Ghost Hunters", which is a reality series that follows TAPS on some of their investigation jobs.
He formed New England Paranormal in 2001 and in June 2005, Steve co-founded TAPS Paranormal Magazine.
Before Ghost Hunters Steve was a police officer.
